Imperforate hymen is a rare obstructive disease of the female reproductive tract. Unlike other congenital anomalies, an imperforate hymen can be diagnosed late in the adolescence. It is important to suspect imperforate hymen in premenarcheal adolescent girls with cyclical abdominal pain. |
