Core Tip |
Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) complicated by gastric varices is extremely rare. We report a case of AIP complicated by gastric varices. With one year of steroid therapy, the enlarged pancreas, obstructed splenic vein and slight splenomegaly recovered to the normal states. At the same time, the gastric varices disappeared. After 3 years of follow-up, the patient did not have any of the symptoms as previously described. |
