We investigated the mechanism of long noncoding RNA X-inactive specific transcript (XIST) on NLR family pyrin domain containing 3/caspase-1-mediated renal tubular epithelial pyroptosis through the microRNA-15-5p/Toll-like receptor 4 axis and identified XIST as a possible molecular target to mediate renal tubular epithelial pyroptosis in the treatment of renal injury in diabetic nephropathy. |
