Core Tip |
Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in men worldwide. This study investigated the effects of a nursing model based on Peplau’s interpersonal relationship theory combined with bladder function training on patients with prostate cancer. Total 89 post-surgical patients with prostate cancer were randomized into either the Peplau nursing group or the routine nursing group. After three months of nursing care, various indicators, such as Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy- Spiritual Well-Being scores and quality of life scores, were examined. Results suggested that the type of combined nursing model can significantly improve physiological function and urinary symptoms. |
