Core Tip |
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the leading causes of cancer death, and chemoresistance is common in the treatment of CRC patients. Parathyroid hormone-related peptide (PTHrP) and the receptor tyrosine kinase Met are involved in the aggressive behavior of CRC cells. However, to date it is unknown whether PTHrP and Met are related to promoting events associated with the progression and chemoresistance of CRC. Herein we showed, for the first time, a PTHrP/Met axis that could have a positive impact on the knowledge of CRC biology and on the development of new targeted therapies. |
