Core Tip |
Von Meyenburg complex (VMC) is a congenital bile duct malformation, which is asymptomatic and non-life threatening in most cases. As such, it remains underdiagnosed. Here, we report the features of VMC detected in a symptomatic patient by contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging. The prescribed treatment gradually improved the patient’s condition. Throughout the surveillance period, the patient remained asymptomatic. In reporting this case study, we highlight the need for thorough differential diagnosis of VMC as well as a personalized treatment approach that considers disease complications, if present. |
