It was an easy mistake to misdiagnose twin reversed arterial perfusion as having a single intrauterine fetal death, especially in our case, as the acardiac twin had a head, body and full limbs. The intrauterine fetal intervention was necessary when the pump twin showed signs of fetal distress. After surgery, the problem of premature rupture of membranes and delivery should be noted. The indication to terminate the pregnancy depended on the mother's condition, fetal condition, and the acardiac twin's longest size. |
