Core Tip |
The large full-thickness abdominal defect caused by gunshot wound is often associated with infection, multiorgan injuries, and poor patient conditions. Tension-reduced closure is a useful method for the temporary closure of large abdominal wall defect, particularly in cases in which one-stage abdominal wall reconstruction is unfeasible. |
