Clinically, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) should be considered for patients with poorly controlled asthma, especially those with elevated eosinophils, pulmonary infiltrates, or bronchiectasis. Serum total immunoglobulin (Ig)E (IgE), Aspergillus fumigatus-specific antibody IgE and IgG detection can help confirm the diagnosis. |
