Core Tip |
Coronavirus disease or coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is not only a respiratory illness but it can also affect the gastrointestinal system particularly the liver. Although the exact pathophysiology is unknown, more serious outcomes are seen when there is an underlying liver disease. Meticulous attention should be given to liver function in patients with COVID-19 infection. |
