| Core Tip |
Type 1 enterochromaffin-like neuroendocrine tumors (ECL-cell NETs) occur most frequently and are associated with autoimmune gastritis. In gastric neuroendocrine tumors, molecular changes occur in genes including MEN1, CDKN1B, P27, and ATP4A. This is the first report of type 1 ECL-cell NETs with a pathogenic germline mutation of the BRCA2 gene. |
