Core Tip |
Using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses, we found that hypertension, diabetes, a history of abdominal surgery, and perioperative blood transfusion are predictors of complications after distal gastrectomy in patients with gastric cancer (GC). We then developed a novel nomogram for predicting early postoperative complications after distal gastrectomy. Using internal and external validations, we demonstrated that the model had good accuracy and stability. This model can facilitate identification of GC patients who are likely to develop complications, allowing early intervention and more appropriate management. |
