Core Tip |
Several studies have shown that laparoscopic spleen-preserving No. 10 lymphadenectomy is feasible for patients with upper gastric cancer; however, the sample sizes in these studies were small. Thus, the value of the procedure must be further evaluated with large sample studies, and it is debatable whether routine No. 10 lymphadenectomy should be performed for advanced upper gastric cancer (AUGC) without serosa invasion. Therefore, we evaluated the feasibility and short-term efficacy of laparoscopic spleen-preserving No. 10 lymphadenectomy in 108 consecutive patients with AUGC (cT2-3). In addition, early follow-up results were also presented. |
