Core Tip |
Diet-related issues are one of the main concerns that inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients bring to their clinicians and dietitians and are known to place a substantial burden on patients' quality of life. In this article, we discuss the interaction between diet and genetic factors such as microRNAs and the importance of diet in IBD patients. Furthermore, we provide dietary recommendations for patients during IBD flare as well as healthy nutritional guidelines to be followed during disease remission based on unprocessed or minimally processed foods. |
