Core Tip |
There are no high-level evidence to support the use of laparoscopic fundoplication (LF) in partial responders to proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy. The evidence that does exist suggests LF improves symptom control in these patients, but symptoms recur over time. There are limited data to suggest that LF is not as efficacious in partial responders as in those with an adequate response to PPI therapy. |
