Previously, correlation between markers representing cancer-related inflammation, including high neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and unfavorable oncological outcomes have been reported. This recent study demonstated the predictive role of these markers in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer. Pretreatment of NLR, MLR, and PLR were higher, in whom with advanced pathological stage and high neoadjuvant rectal score, represent the poor outcomes. |
