Core Tip Ammonia is a normal constituent of body fluids, and the concentration of blood ammonia must remain low. Herein, a prospective and single-center study was conducted to investigate the relationship between the incidence of non-hepatic hyperammonemia and the prognosis of patients admitted in intensive care unit. Furthermore, the level of blood ammonia may be helpful for prognosis prediction of critically ill patients.
